The Confessions of Frannie Langton: Interviews

“FRANNIE is not one of those characters that just fades away.

“We went on so many emotional rollercoasters together. I’m grateful and honoured that I was able to play her. It’s rare that a leading role is written for a woman like me.

“I really want people to watch this show because I want them to meet Frannie. To fall in love with the woman that I fell in love with, despite her flaws. Just to hear her story, because she really wants people to hear it.”

Karla-Simone Spence talking to me about new four part period drama The Confessions of Frannie Langton, now available to watch here on ITVX.

Produced by Drama Republic and adapted by author and screenwriter Sara Collins from her award winning debut novel of the same name.

Set in Georgian London, the drama follows Frannie’s journey from a Jamaican plantation to a grand Mayfair mansion as she fights to tell us her own story.

With Karla-Simone’s performance already attracting rave reviews. While Sara describes it as “jaw dropping”.
