Coronation Street’s William – Bill – Roache talking to me about yet another milestone for the ITV show.

It was an honour to be asked to talk to Bill again for ITV’s 60th anniversary press pack.

Along with a separate and equally fascinating long interview with John Whiston, Managing Director of Continuing Drama and Head of ITV in the North.

Coronation Street continues at 7:30pm tomorrow (Monday Dec 7) with an hour long episode followed by Coronation Street: 60 Unforgettable Years.

One of several special programmes linked to the anniversary which, as most Corrie fans will know, falls on Wednesday.

The first ever episode of Coronation Street having been broadcast live at 7pm on Friday December 9 1960.
