Ashes To Ashes: The Wait Is Almost Over

JUST returned from interviews with Philip Glenister and Keeley Hawes ahead of the launch of Ashes To Ashes.
Due to the embargo on publication, and as with the set visit interviews last year, I still can’t reveal any of the content.
But I’m glad to say that unlike the rain pouring down outside the interview room, the outlook for A2A looks very bright indeed.
There shouldn’t be too long to wait now.
TV schedules can often be compared to shifting sands.

Until those in charge at BBC1 have fixed the date and confirmed that week’s schedule, it’s usually unwise to speculate.
At one time it appeared Ashes To Ashes was set to be screened from March or April.
Then the schedulers thought again, and they might still change their minds.
But Philip Glenister said in a recent radio interview that February looked the most likely start date.
And who am I to argue with The Guv?

Hi Ian – thanks for this. I love the graphic you used; I can just IMAGINE Gene Hunt glaring at this poncy notice and refusing to press any girly buzzer or produce any so**ing ID. And can you bear the thought of the look on his face when his identity badge picture was taken??
