The Hunt For Raoul Moat: Interviews

“MOST people think they know what happened in this story. But they don’t.

“This drama shows you what actually happened.

“We see the news reports and then the image of Moat on a river bank with a shotgun to his temple.

“But we don’t see what led to that moment, who he affected, who he killed, who he ruined. That’s why it’s important to tell this story.”

Lee Ingleby talking to me about The Hunt For Raoul Moat, a three part true crime drama which begins on ITV – and ITVX – at 9pm on Sunday and continues over the following nights.

He plays Det Chief Supt Neil Adamson, one of the detectives at the forefront of the police search for Moat who shot and killed a young man and seriously injured two others.

With a script by ‘Anne’ writer Kevin Sampson highlighting the victims of Moat, the deluded people who thought he was a hero and the issue of domestic violence by men against women.

You can read my interviews with Lee Ingleby (Det Chief Supt Neil Adamson), Vineeta Rishi (Det Insp Nisha Roberts), Sally Messham (Samantha Stobbart), Sonya Cassidy (Diane Barnwell), Matt Stokoe (Raoul Moat) and Executive Producer Jake Lushington at the link below.
