JUST seven days after THAT kiss between Sean and Sonny, Coronation Street embarks on another controversial storyline tonight.
Although it will take a little time to emerge, Leanne Battersby is back on the cobbles with a secret about how she’s been making cash.

Jane, who is returning to Corrie after the birth of first child Harry, told me she was a little nervous about the new direction for her character.
“Everybody seemed to know more about it than I did. I had a word with one of our press officers and said, ‘Is she just an escort, or is it going further?’

“And he just looked at me…and I thought, ‘Oh my God.’ It’s a first,” she laughed.
Some viewers have been concerned about the recent turn of events in Weatherfield.
And they won’t be best pleased by a storyline which turns Leanne into a prostitute, albeit temporarily.
But Jane says it’s all done responsibly with a typical Corrie twist, as Leanne finds herself skating on thin ice.
The Bury actress also thinks it’s in keeping with former wild child Leanne’s life, which includes a past problem with drugs.
“She’s still got that rebellious streak in her and she’s always right in her eyes. She’s done some really bad things in the past but not with the intent of hurting anybody.”
Jane reckons the time she has spent away from the Street has given her a better sense of perspective.
“When you step away from things, you see them really differently. I think I appreciate everything so much more than I did before.”
