Grace: Interviews

“IT would have been crazy for me to turn down such a brilliant opportunity to play a lead for ITV in a best-selling detective series.

“It is just such a great part.”

John Simm talking to me about his new role as Det Supt Roy Grace in the first ITV feature length Grace film.

Screened at 8pm this Sunday (March 14).

Based on the first of the award-winning Roy Grace novels by global best-selling author Peter James: Dead Simple.

Adapted for TV by acclaimed screenwriter and Endeavour creator Russell Lewis.

With a second film – Looking Good Dead – already completed and due to be broadcast later this year.

As John also told me: “There are seventeen Roy Grace novels so far and the wonderful thing was that Peter James said he was writing the new ones with me in his head this time which is great. He is a prolific writer.

“I just hope people like what we have done and we get to do some more.”
