VERY early start today for a location visit in Manchester and interviews with the cast of True Dare Kiss.
The new BBC1 serial, written by Debbie Horsfield, is currently in the middle of filming in and around the city.
Making a TV drama is anything but glamorous, especially when your base is a chilly city centre car park.
Even so, there were plenty of smiles from cast members, including Lorraine Ashbourne (pictured), Esther Hall, Paul McGann and Pooky Quesnel.
I’ve already seen an early DVD taster of the six-part production, with some scenes filmed at Old Trafford.

And it looks like Eccles-born Debbie may have another hit on her hands, after the success of previous BBC projects like Cutting It and Sex, Chips & Rock ‘n Roll.
True Dare Kiss originally began life as a play, first performed in 1983. Subsequent productions included this one.
The story involves the return of prodigal daughter Phil (Dervla Kirwan) and a family secret buried for two decades.
“I’ve always been intrigued by family feuds,” explains Debbie, “and the way a single event can have catastrophic and long standing consequences.”
The contents of today’s interviews must remain under wraps – for the moment.
But there’ll be a lot more to say about the drama when it comes to the screen later in the year.
